Safety & Access
Hazards

From time to time trees that line the banks of the river sometimes fall across it creating a possible strainer, be extra mindful of this in periods after heavy rain or flooding.

Access Issues

No access issues noted.

Water Level Information

Levels can be determined by checking the Annamoe, if it is high this will be high, if it is low, this will be low too.

Levels can also be checked from the bridge in Rathdrum at the get in. If this section looks paddalable (i.e. enough water going over the gravel beds) the river is good to go. In a descent flow a nice wave forms under the river right arch of the bridge. If it's in flood should also be obvious from here - still a good run though, just not for swimmers and beware for fallen trees.
